WATERFRONT DISTRICT RETAILERS

Greilickville, MI was founded in the 1850's by Godfrey Greilick, originally as a water and steam-powered sawmill. The mill was one of the most important on Grand Traverse Bay and in 1883 the mill cut 500,000 feet of hardwood lumber. Today, the West Bay Waterfront District is home to over 600 seats of fine dining, new parks and marinas, and an array of specialty stores and shops - and is conveniently located just two miles from downtown Traverse City.
